In I Corinthians 12, we're told that God has given many different gifts to the various members of His body. Not everyone is the same, and trying to serve in a way that we're not gifted can be difficult and frustrating, even leading to one losing the desire to try at all. When we know our gifts, though, it enables us to function better as a body.
